A Celebration of New Orleans (12:05)

Bloged in by Administrator Thursday September 22, 2005

The flooding caused by Hurricane Katrina extended well beyond New Orleans and into the hearts and minds of anyone who’s ever spent time there. I have so many wonderful memories of the place and they all came rushing back as I watched the disaster unfold on television. It took a while, though, before it felt appropriate to even talk about those memories. This podcast is how I chose to pay tribute to the Big Easy, an American city unlike any other.

I hope you enjoy both the stories and the music. Feedback most welcome, of course. And if you can recall a New Orleans moment when time stood still for you, click the trackback button and have at it. I’m always up for a good story.

It’s a Bouncing Baby Podcast!!

Bloged in by Administrator Wednesday September 21, 2005

Hi. Jeff here. I’m just a guy who always has to have a creative outlet (keeps me off the streets). That’s why I created Hoytus Interruptus. It started out as a newspaper column, turned into occasional radio commentaries, evolved into a weekly live Internet radio show, and then grew into a theatrical stage presentation.

Now, I’ve combined all of those various pursuits into a semi-regular Internet podcast, tailor-made to cater to your on-demand listening sensibilities.

Right now I’m putting the finishing touches on my debut piece. It’s called “A Celebration of New Orleans.” It should be posted in the next few days. After that, a new Hoytus will show up on your webstep every couple of weeks or so.

Stay tuned…
